Synopsis

Big step forward! This month's raid was a nice bounce back for us from the November/December slump! We peaked around 30-35 anons and our favourites Gerry Armstrong and OneHuman were able to make it out. Early into our raid today we had what seemed to be a regular East Van drunk come up to us and start ranting on how Scientology saved his life and how we are all horrible stupid people etc. Magik and a few other Vanon along with OneHuman approached him, cameras on, for a debate since he was just going off on us. He goes into detail on how he was an OT 3 and a Class Four Auditor. OneHuman caught him in a lie somewhere in the conversation and the scientologist went into total defence mode. It's all on video but every time myself or someone else confronted the scientologist with a question, he would come out at us with the scientology classic line "What are your crimes?" and the fan favourite "What have you done??" Then the man had the nerve to attempt to grab Semysane's camera. He was physically stopped (grabbed his arm) and then warned he would have charges pressed on him should he get physical again. The debate went on even after that for another 10-15 minutes this time with the freezoner and ex-scientologist. We had to eventually end the debate as it was getting heated/had become pointless, and the guy practically ran away when Gerry got there.

The Org itself was almost silent, with appearances only by people coming and going. They have bought blinds that block any sight into the church. It looks ugly, but that is their choice. Expendable and Forgott3n brought some nice street signs for around the raid and a few people brought signs. Vegan brought her famous baked goods which were delicious as always! Thanks also to everyone who brought fliers, cameras and music! We had a very generous anonymous donation to the funds which are also being updated.
